LINKIN PARK Most Popular Band At Online Fan Community

December 9, 2008

More than four million online music fans have now added LINKIN PARK to their profiles via iLike, the dominant music application on Facebook and other leading social platforms. LINKIN PARK is the first group to ever surpass the four million fan milestone on iLike, making them the most popular band on the leading social music discovery service or any online fan community.

"This is the largest number of fans that have ever gathered together in support of one artist on a single social platform and that blows us away," says LINKIN PARK's co-frontman Mike Shinoda. "The band is thrilled and we thank everyone out there that continues to support us and enjoy our music."

"Surpassing an online fan community of four million is a significant accomplishment, even for a prodigious band, and it's a testament to LINKIN PARK's commitment to cultivating a connection with their fans," said Ali Partovi, CEO of iLike. "This is not only the largest fan base on iLike, it may also be the largest fan community that any artist has built anywhere on the Internet. We're delighted that iLike has been the channel LINKIN PARK used to achieve this astounding milestone."

Fans can join LINKIN PARK's iLike fan community right now by going to: www.iLike.com/linkinpark

Fans who "iLike" LINKIN PARK will begin receiving notifications when the band posts new content for syndication across the Web by iLike. They will also be alerted when LINKIN PARK posts new concert dates and will have immediate access to exclusive video messages from the band and other compelling music and content. And the direct communication goes both ways: Fans can also post messages for the band.

LINKIN PARK recently released "Road To Revolution - Live At Milton Keynes" (Machine Shop Recordings/Warner Bros. Records),an action-packed CD/DVD combo featuring 18 of the group's biggest hits recorded live in concert. The double-disc set captures the band's June 29, 2008 show at the Milton Keynes National Bowl during the sold-out European leg of this past summer's Projekt Revolution tour. LINKIN PARK's Projekt Revolution has become one of the summer concert season's annual heavyweights and the Milton Keynes gig — played to a packed house crowd of almost 50,000 people — was the biggest in the tour's six-year history.
